Ra’s Line Companion

1.1 Creation is independent of will

The first line always speaks for the nature of the hexagram. Here we have the relationship between the
self and the ego. The first thing we hear is that Creation is independent of will. Right away you have this
keynote that says: look, this is not about what your ego is doing. This is not about your ego claiming that
it is a creative font. The ego is just a motor. Unique direction is not about willpower: “I’ll do something
nobody else has ever done.” Only somebody collective can say something dumb like that because to do
something that nobody else has ever done is a mutation and it can only happen. We cannot create it. It is
independent of will.

The Moon exalted as the symbol of adaptation. Time is everything. This is so important to understand
about mutation. It follows its own law. You have to wait for it and there is nothing that you can do.
Remember that this is a first line. It is not transpersonal. It does not know that there is an 8th gate on the
other side that is ready to make a contribution. It does not know that it can make that contribution. There
is just this deep impulse to express one’s uniqueness. Time is everything.

Uranus in detriment. Instability leads to distortion. Here, patience is a virtue and revolution a vice. In the
white book, the Uranus in detriment is: Creative instability unless there is patience. That is much more
clearly stated there. In other words, you can’t be an example right away. So many individuals go through
life trying to be like the collective until that moment of mutation. You have to be patient. If you are, it
will come. The moment you try to control it, the moment you try to drive it with willpower, then you
become unstable.

I have been creative all of my life. Every time my big ego tried to tell me that it was time to create, I
would end up with enormous frustration. In those moments where the last thing on earth I want to do is to
create anything, I will be driven to do it because that is the mechanism. You learn in time. Patience is a
great teacher. Revolution, the desire out of the ego to express creativity, and to do it when you want to do
it, leads to distortion. I have my South Node there. Time is everything. I had to wait nearly 40 years.

Personal Journey

2024, May 30

This is the first post I am making – 1-1. It is 30 May 2024, 2:22pm. I have been feeling exhilarated in my ever-developing WordPress journey, learning to code with php.

What I have created so far, is a little script that will give me inspiration when I open my WordPress dashboard in the top corner: the Gate, line, and Gene Key frequency band contemplations.

I am hoping to create it into a function that will have all 192 lines, scripted in there. For now, it only has 1.1 and 1.2. I thought, presumpsuously, that ole’ ChatGPT could help me code all the lines in there correctly. Well, he helped marvellously for the code itself, yet for the actual correct information … well, it looked so nearly good… and then underneath the surface, it was clear that a lot of it was completely incorrect!

It truly is amazing that ChatGPT can “lie out of its ass”! In a graceful, convincing and agreeable way.

I suppose, discernment is the key.

I feel that this journey is a beautiful encapsulation of this moment of the 1.1. The first steps of creation, not discriminatory, it is to create it is not about judging the creation. It is pure power – pure Yang.

Creativity as a primal force. The energy potential to manifest inspiration with out limitation. Individual expression fulfilled through interaction.

The interaction here, is between me and me, and between me and Chat! without him, I may not have felt that limitless potential of expression. I feel like with coding, it might be my canvas where I feel free, less limited, and able to create without judgement, for the pure sake of creating. I can’t imagine feeling so free with drawing, well, I could try electronic drawing… this just feels right, for now.

I am conscious that my undefined will center might be sneakily involved in many different things! But… This was a little bit… me just for me. Right now, there is a Chiron conjunct Mars in Aries. I feel that this website might be my “marathon”, something that others might not be that interested in, but its meaningful for me.

How do I live as the beautiful, saintly, virtuous, person who feels they are here to help save the world and bring it to one giant party?

I’m still on that journey. I hope to keep updating these posts in time. I hope that this becomes my sort of “living” line companion. With that in mind, I will include the line companion here. And THEN, I will focus on the “patience is a virtue and revolution a vice” detriment… I do need to focus on some work, and this has been a fun play time. Rather than resisting the tempation to get completely absorbed in this task and avoid other real-life matters, I will let go of the resistance, accept it, melt it into patience. Trusting that creation, the individual process, is spontaneous, is pulsing, it is not always the same point, it doesn’t always move the same way. Revolution, fighting it, contorting, resisting, overthrowing… isn’t the way, it will lead to distortions. I love Ra’s words on this.

I am grateful for the energy blessed to run through me today, for this post and this moment, and I surrender to acceptence and relaxation about the future to come.
